[After everything that's happened, Tim hasn't really... talked to anyone on his 'gear again. Not after calling Athena for help. He's been in no state for it and he's especially not eager to talk in any public posts.

So it's really just luck that he happens to check if he's got any messages today. And... oh.

Oh geez.

Everything's been happening so much that he hadn't even really thought about Lust. Initially, maybe, when he'd been considering who he could go to for help. But afterwards... his thoughts have been a little occupied with other things. And he really wasn't up for talking with people, but...

He can't just leave Lust hanging.

Even knowing it's really not an option, he hovers over the video button for a while. It's what he's generally used for talking with her. It's what she's using now. But he... really can't. No.

There's always audio, but... He touches his throat for a moment. Still kinda rough. It's getting better, but god, voice modulators really don't have a nice recovery process. Yeah, that's... that's not happening.

Text it is. At least he's better at that now than his texts to Athena days ago. Even if he's still typing a little slowly.]

[Lust frowns. None of this is at all usual. There's an odd distance in the message, a brusqueness that's entirely unexpected. Normally, they use video chats, and spend hours talking. This...this doesn't set well. It takes her a bit to respond.]

Not much. I don't pay attention to him, men like that bore and irritate me. I've seen him, though. I can tell the difference between him and you.

Yeah, he didn't always wear that. He didn't when I met him. But back on Elpis, there was an... incident. The whole thing's kind of a long story, honestly. But the main thing is that one of his [He almost typed "our" there... Ugh.] enemies showed up and kinda... punched this artifact into his face.

It was pretty brutal. Left one hell of a mark. He wears the mask to cover that up.

It's, I don't know, some alien bullshit and he couldn't remove it. And considering how much surgery can do, that's kinda saying something.
