Do you think we should get a house?

I was talking with someone recently, about size constraints and number of Pokemon and all of that and it got me wondering. We're already well settled in Ecruteak, maybe it's time to stop renting.

Oh, huh... It is getting a bit crowded, huh?

Mostly catwise.

Predominantly cat-wise. Though considering just how many Pokemon in general I have at this point...

And it would be nice to have a backyard. That wasn't shared.

There's that. It's a pretty appealing thought.

We can start looking around, then, yeah.

And it would be...nice. To have a home that's ours.

How does one even find that sort of thing? Just wander about looking for a 'For Sale' sign?

Someone else bought my other house for me.

Uh, I think? Maybe? I dunno, I mean, I've never really done it. Either here or back on Pandora. I don't think people buy property on Pandora, actually. Or, god, I hope they don't.

But... yeah. Just ours. That does sound really nice.

Oh, of course, you come from a place where I assume everyone is assigned somewhere. Does...does anyone sell property there?

I thought you'd agree. I suppose we should decide what sort of house we want.

Out on different planets? Yeah, probably. On Pandora... I think people just sort of take what they want? I mean, first of all, who wants to buy property on Pandora? Ugh. Second of all, I mean, if your asking price is too high, people probably just shoot you, so...

The real estate business there probably isn't booming.

But... yeah, I guess I don't really know what to look for in that.

It doesn't even sound like there's a reason to bother with that planet. Does it have any redeeming features?

Something with room, obviously. Maybe something with a view of the shore?

Some of the people are alright. It's pretty, I guess? I mean, you know, once you get out of all the dangerous desert wasteland and get to the dangerous frozen wasteland instead. Or the dangerous irradiated wasteland--

It's just real bad. But it's not next to a black hole, so, it's got that going for it.

...Oh god are those my standards now.

Huh... Yeah, that's... not a bad idea. It is a hell of a view.

Probably gotta make sure the cats can't slip out of the windows.

Why do people go there?

Well, we live on a very nice planet where things function normally and society is not thrown into chaos. We can have a nice home with a nice view and all the amenities. We could probably even have a pool or a greenhouse.

I do like greenhouses.

Well, some people have absolutely nowhere better to go and just can't afford going off planet. And then some people go there voluntarily because they're absolutely insane and want to make it big and get rich and/or powerful.

And that's how we get Vault Hunters.

[Tim, once again, you are a Vault Hunter.]

Greenhouses are nice. Hang on, let me just... [some shuffling. he's just getting a piece of paper.] Just making a list of these.

How many of those vault things could one planet possibly hold?

[She just doesn't understand this mad, mad world that Timothy comes from.]

Oh, that's a very good idea. What would you like in our home?

More than you'd think. And then there's the one on the moon, too, so...

[It's okay, he doesn't understand it either.]

Hm... lots of windows, maybe? [Nothing to remind you that you're not stuck in space anymore like constantly being able to look outside and see the sky.] I dunno, maybe it's one of those things I'll figure out more once I see some places.

Oh yes, you've mentioned the moon. And your...trials there.

It's nothing you've ever thought of before, is it? A home of your own.

Yeah, good old Elpis. Man, that feels like forever ago.

...I guess I haven't. I got pretty used to just going from place to place. [Without really getting a say about it, in the case of back home.] It wasn't really anything I could think about up in space.

Wasn't it? At least by human standards...

Well, now you've plenty of time to think about it.

It was still very fresh, when I was here the first time, but now... I'm pretty sure past me would punch me for saying this, but it really wasn't that bad.

Plenty of time for a lot of things here. One of the best parts about this place.
