There were those ones who tore reality open....

It's traditional, I know that much. When people get married, other people give them gifts. It seems silly, but I do like gifts.

Well, you could always say thank you for the gifts people sent, and then maybe some of them will feel bad for not sending any, and get on that.

[Of course, they have not gotten any gifts, on account of not announcing their marriage. Because why not add another level to this deception?]

There's that luxury resort in the islands.

Well, pfff, hey. Just seems like a shame to not let them give us stuff, if they really want to. What choice do we have, really?

And traditionally the honeymoon does come after the marriage.

I've been to that resort, it's beautiful.

True enough. We did it the wrong way around last time. We have to fix it. And an extra celebration never hurts.

We'll definitely go, then. Get some more free goodies out of it, with any luck.

And this time it will be entirely honest.

I'm sure they have free perks for newlyweds. Isn't it strange, what a public spectacle society has made out of the whole thing? It seems so odd that the happiness or romantic state of two strangers should matter so much to so many.

Well, for some of these places, it's probably just, you know, trying to get you to spend more in other places. But in general... yeah, it is kinda weird, huh? Even places like Pandora, weddings tend to be kind of a big deal.

I guess it's probably nice? You know, being reminded about love and that sometimes things can actually end up pretty okay.

It is a profitable business, from what I've seen. Everything's expensive for a wedding. Another reason to skip it all entirely. I'd rather have more helpful household appliances.

But I suppose there is that. It's nice when things work out in general.
